Gary Sharp is the man behind the rifle in the Highlands, assisted by stalking guide Martin and ghillie Jonathan. The estate is selective about what it shoots, and we’re after a cull stag to take out of the herd. There’s more of a challenge than just quarry selection, though: with the wind increasing in speed, even getting close is going to be tough. We’ve even got some forestry selected as a back-up plan in case stalking on the hill proves just too tough.
And we’re back with our Irish duo of Stephen and Jason, who give us a taste of how lamping foxes takes place over the Irish sea. With a full night’s foxing ahead of us, we’re hopeful of plenty of action.
