The Shooting Show – red hartebeest and the CZ 557

In episode 127 of The Shooting Show we’re back in Africa with Larno Rens, while Byron examines the CZ 557.

Larno knows of a herd of eland with a suitable bull in the area, and takes his guest Anke Sauretig out to see if they can find it. When a call comes in to say a shootable red hartebeest has been spotted, the pair are given a new option – but will either quarry species offer a shot?

Byron Pace has the CZ 557 under scrutiny in the second half of the show, examining the rifle’s build from top to bottom as well as testing its performance on the range.

We’ve also got news of a proposed threat to general licence users north of the border, and a new members club launched by top clay shot George Digweed.
