The Shooting Show – hard red hind stalking in Scotland

This week we bring you stalking as it really is. We haven’t edited out the blanks, aborted stalks, or sad moments. Chris Dalton is out on two separate days after red hinds in Argyll and Angus. There’s a frustrating blank on the first day, and then he’s greeted by subzero temperatures on day two, limiting the amount of time we can be out in the field. Plus, we have dropping light levels and camera troubles to deal with. Every true stalker knows you can’t be successful every time – this is the real deal.
And we say goodbye to Oscar, the Shooting Show’s favourite deer dog. He sadly passed in December and this is the last time he was filmed for the show.
