With the roebuck season drawing to a close, Chris Dalton is called out to a patch of fenced forestry in Ayrshire where roe deer have made an unwanted incursion. Don’t think ‘fence’ means ‘easy’, though. This is a huge area, and a carpet of frost means stalking deer is like walking on cornflakes. Will we ever get near enough for a shot at a buck?
